Third wave. In Russia, a record of deaths from COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic: graph

In Russia, on June 28, 2021, the largest number of people died from COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, 652 people. This is reported by the official website of the Russian government. Since mid-June, the daily mortality from coronavirus in the Russian Federation has increased sharply.

 

Over the past day, 20,616 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Russia, 14,697 patients have recovered.

Most of the new cases are in Moscow (6209), the Moscow region (1374) and St. Petersburg (1374). Most of the deaths per day are in Moscow (121) and St. Petersburg (119).

The graph from the Worldometer website (data as of June 27, 2021), which collects statistics on the pandemic, shows that the number of new cases of coronavirus in Russia has increased since the beginning of June. If until June 6, approximately 8,500-9,100 new cases were recorded daily, then by June 24 this number had doubled and is at more than 20,000.

The daily death toll began to rise in the middle of the month. Until June 17, it fluctuated in the region of 350-400 deaths, on June 25 it exceeded 600, that is, it increased by one and a half times.
