The President of the United States, Joe Biden, seemed to… forget the name of the Australian Prime Minister, during a teleconference they had.
According to the BBC, Biden referred to Scott Morrison as “that guy down there” shortly after addressing British Prime Minister Boris Johnson by his first name.
The teleconference was made to discuss the new US-British-Australian AUKUS security pact.
The United States, which seeks to strengthen alliances in all directions to build a front against China’s growing influence, announced yesterday a broad security partnership with Australia and the United Kingdom in the Indo-Pacific area.
“The first major initiative of this (new pact bearing the name) AUKUS, will be the delivery of a fleet of nuclear-powered submarines to AustraliaSaid Scott Morrison in a teleconference with Boris Johnson and Joe Biden, who hosted the conference.
