The new smartphones Redmi K40, K40 Pro and K40 Pro + can already be called a scarce commodity: on the very first day, a huge batch of 300,000 smartphones was sold out in China. Moreover, only five minutes were enough for its implementation.
It was not for nothing that the head of Redmi, Lu Weibing, encouraged all interested buyers to place a pre-order, while other top managers of Xiaomi were going to “go to the factory to turn the screws” – it was clear from the volume of pre-orders that Redmi K40 was destined to become hits in the home market. And that’s how it turned out.
Alas, there is little joy in this news. Xiaomi has already confirmed that it is faced with a shortage of Qualcomm SoCs, and if we add to this the general shortage of chips in the industry, then we can make a disappointing forecast: Redmi will have to make a lot of efforts to meet the demand for the K40 in the home market, what can we say about the global ?
Meanwhile, in the global market (including Russia), Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro will appear, but under different designations – Poco F3 and Poco X3 Pro. Their official premiere in India is expected in March, and the Poco F3 and Poco X3 Pro will probably reach Russia no earlier than mid-April. And it is not clear in what quantities.
