ZTE already has flagship smartphones Axon 30 Pro and Axon 30 Ultra, and now another model in the line is on the way – Axon 30 5G. Formally, based on the name, it is simpler, but in reality, the Axon 30 5G will be able to give odds to its older brothers in a number of ways.

This is how the world's first smartphone with a sub-screen camera and 20 GB of RAM looks like. ZTE Axon 30 5G image released

The first feature of the model, which the published teaser is intended to demonstrate, is the sub-screen front camera. The caption on the image below reads “phone with a new generation subscreen camera”. The exact generation is not reported, but for sure such a camera will be better than the one used in the Axon 20 5G: it was both very noticeable, and there were significant complaints about the quality of the photo. Due to such a front camera, the screen occupies almost the entire usable area of the front panel – almost 100%.

The second important feature of the model is a large amount of RAM. We can say that it is even very large and hardly demanded for a smartphone. It is expected to be 20 GB. There is no consensus on this yet. Some sources say that the RAM itself will be 18 GB, and the remaining 2 GB will fall on the memory expansion technology – this is the case for Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi. True, the expansion of RAM is justified in cases where there is not very much RAM, but why increase it virtually with 18 gigabytes is a big question. Other sources are confident that the smartphone will have exactly 20 GB of RAM, recruited by the corresponding number of chips.

There are no other technical details, but the Axon 30 5G will surely get a very good main camera and a top-end platform. The Axon 30 Pro and Axon 30 Ultra use Snapdragon 888, it is possible that the Axon 30 5G will also be based on it.
