The pharmaceutical company Heremco Drugstore Sole Proprietors Ltd. is the company with which the 13 people arrested are connected and a case was filed against them for participation in a criminal organization, forgery, false medical certificates, bribery, bribery of an employee and a number of other charges of the authorities was made public last Friday 10 December.
The company is associated, according to the Greek authorities, with illegal prescriptions of pharmaceuticals, which were resold at retail prices, a process through which the circuit multiplied its profits, as for a pharmaceutical preparation it received revenues, both from EOPYY and from the illegal resale. In addition to the 13 arrested, 173 people are included in the case file, including 49 public doctors, 64 private doctors, pharmacists and medical visitors.
According to the official description of the activity on its website, Heremco pharmaceuticals was founded in Athens, initially operating as a drugstore. In 2005 it redefined its business activities into a pharmaceutical company. Over the next five years he developed in the field of Cardiology and Neurology.

The founders of the company
More specifically, the company was established as a drugstore in 1996 based on a relevant notarial deed of the specific period by Epamineondas Koronis and Aikaterini Koronis Mantzaris. The two specific persons appear today as members of the board of directors of the pharmaceutical industry Proel based in Peristeri, which in 2016 submitted an application for inclusion in a consolidation process in the Multi-Member Court of First Instance of Athens. The original headquarters of Heremco was at 49 Deligiorgi Street in Athens, while today it is located in Metamorfosi.
Based on its articles of association, the company was established on April 8, 1996 by the aforementioned and on August 8 of the same year, Epamineondas Koronis and Aikaterini Koroni Mantzari transferred company shares to the father of the current head of the company, George Hantzikos. After the death of the latter, in 2007 the company shares that belonged to him passed to his son, the current president of the company, Dimitris Hantzikos, to his daughter and his wife. Subsequently, all the company shares of E. Koroni and Aikaterini Koroni Mantzaris as well as those of the daughter and the wife were transferred to Dimitris Hantzikos, who became the sole partner.
The company had recently entered into an agreement with a well-known TV presenter with the aim of creating an advertising campaign for a series of cosmetics. During the filming of this campaign, photos and information material were channeled to the media, where, in addition to the well-known presenter, both the president of the company, Dimitris Hantzikos, and the director of sales and marketing, Haris Hadjivasilis, appeared, both of whom were among the 13 arrested.
Finally, it should be noted that despite the fact that Heremco is a sole proprietorship Limited Liability Company and by law has to publish a balance sheet, it was not possible to locate it after a search on its website and in the General Commercial Register.
