A “proposal to negotiate” by European officials to the Iranian Foreign Minister, according to French President Emmanuel Macron. The intention of France and its European partners today to submit to Geneva today a constituted diplomatic proposal to Iran for the decline of tension in the Middle East has been announced by Emmanuel Macron. Speaking to reporters in Le Bourze, just outside of Paris, Macron stressed that the European initiative aims to create a dialogue with Tehran, with the aim of preventing a general ignition and stabilizing the area. The proposal is based on four axes: “Iran must prove that it is willing to come to the negotiating table and respond to the European proposal,” Macron said, stressing that the initiative is a coordinated European effort. The French president noted that the proposal would be notified to Iranian officials in the coming days, as part of Europe’s broader attempt to prevent further escalation and promote dialogue in the region.
