This is the new trend for couples who are expected to get married

What are the top trends that brides, grooms and guests are expected to adopt in wedding ceremonies this year;

The global fashion platform Lyst has released its report on the wedding of 2021, giving a preview of the trends that we can expect the bride and groom to adopt.

After a year dominated by Zoom weddings and the postponement of parties and receptions, Lyst predicts that couples and attendees will proceed to wedding parties in person.

According to data collected by the platform, searches for bridal mini dresses, trousers with decorative elements and high heels with rhinestones have steadily increased over the last quarter, showing the return of the glittering seasons.

Another notable finding is that couples are starting to invest in “engagement watches”, an alternative to traditional rings engagement.

Throughout the previous year, watch searches along with the terms “wedding”, “couple” and “engagement” increased by 42%.

Consumers are increasingly looking for gloves to match their wedding attire: searches for accessories, including “bridal” and “silk”, have almost doubled in the last three months, no doubt inspired by Covid – 19 and the suits in the Bridgerton series.

Couples also adopt fluid sex clothing. Following the finale of the Schitt’s Creek series, in which David Rose married Thom Browne wearing a jacket and skirt, the search for “men’s skirts” increased by 26% in one year.
