Sony will be unveiling the new Xperia phones at a special event this week. Right before the announcement, AndroidNext published what the source claims were the official images of the Sony Xperia 1 III, although the resolution still leaves much to be desired.
External changes in comparison with its predecessor in such images cannot be considered, if at all. Previously, many sources reported that the new flagship looks almost the same as last year’s model.
Sony’s mobile division has perhaps the most conservative design on the smartphone market, but for many, there’s nothing wrong with that. The Japanese manufacturer relies on the specs of the device to grab the attention of buyers. The camera block has gotten longer, which indicates larger image sensors and better lenses. According to previously published information, one of the cameras should be equipped with a periscope module for high-quality optical zoom.
The source confirms that the Sony Xperia 1 III is equipped with a 4K display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate.
The presentation of the Sony Xperia 1 III and other new products from the company is expected on April 14, that is, tomorrow.
