THORSwap restarts cross-chain transactions across four blockchains

The developers of the decentralized exchange THORSwap announced the recovery of transactions with the Bitcoin, Litecoin, Binance Smart Chain and Bitcoin Cash blockchains.

The Cosmos-powered THORChain network supports transactions on various blockchain networks such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). According to today’s
publicationsThe platform team has restored functionality for four of the five networks it supported prior to the July shutdown.

THORSwap has resumed coin trading between Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC) and Binance Smart Chain blockchains, Ethereum support is in the process of being restored. In addition, the team is working on adding support for the Terra stablecoin network and the Cosmos Gaia decentralized financial center. The team is also working to improve the performance of network nodes.

In June and July of this year, the THORChain network suffered from hacks, so some services were disabled. In the first exploit, according to the team, the amount of damage was $ 140,000. On July 16, a second hack for $ 7.6 million took place. Then the hacker was able to find a vulnerability leading to a halt in operations. For the third time, on July 23, a hacker used the Ethereum network router to steal $ 8 million worth of ether.
