Thousands of Israeli protesters in Tel Aviv to release the last 49 hostages

Thousands of Israelis today went to the streets of Tel Aviv to demand the liberation of the last 49 hostages remaining in the Gaza Strip, in the hands of the Hamas Islamist organization. This was the first of the Weekly Israeli demonstrations after Israel and Iran declared a ceasefire on June 24, with the mediation of US President Donald Trump after a short 12 -day war. The crowd flooded the “Homer Square” in the center of Tel Aviv. Many were holding Israeli flags and photographs of Israelis abducted by Hamas during its unprecedented, bloody attack on Israeli territory on October 7, 2023.
