Hezbollah’s new leader, Naim Qassem, said the Shiite movement had begun to “recover” after Israel’s “painful blows” and the numerous losses of the group’s leaders and other figures in Israeli airstrikes since mid-September, while saying he was ready to cease-fire with Israel under “conditions”, however, considering that there was no serious plan on the table yet. “Hezbollah has started to recover and fill vacancies” of officials who were killed, Qassem said in his first remarks since being appointed to lead the organization in a pre-recorded speech.
