Three American senators positive for coronavirus in one day

One after another, three U.S. senators – one Republican, one Democratic, one independent – all of them vaccinated for COVID-19, announced yesterday Thursday that they tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, however, assuring that they have only mild symptoms.

The Senate has not met since last week, August 11, after several days of marathon meetings. Members of the US House of Representatives have returned most of their homes to the states they represent in Washington.
