Three cases of Indian coronavirus mutation in Jordan

Jordan recorded three cases of its variant strain coronavirus first identified in India, the health minister told state-run Al Mamlaka TV, adding that the victims had not traveled.

“Two cases have been reported in Amman and one in Zarqa and these are people who have not traveled, which confirms that the appearance of mutated strains does not necessarily have to come from outside, but may be the result of a specific breeding process,” the minister said. THE Jordan recorded 704 cases of the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours, which brought their total number to 712,077 in the kingdom. It also recorded 35 deaths from COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the total death toll from the epidemic in the country to 8,871.
