Three arrest warrants were served against two men, aged 40 and 53, and a woman, aged 28, investigated for being part of a criminal association involved in human trafficking, in Nanuque, in Vale do Mucuri. Four search and seizure warrants were executed during the action by the Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG).
Investigations showed that in January this year, a 16-year-old teenager, residing in the state of Bahia, was allegedly enticed by the woman, through conversations via messaging app, so that the young woman would live in Nanuque, under the pretext of a false proposal. job as a nanny.
The victim, deceived by the hoax, was allegedly transported by one of the suspects, from Bahia to the city of Minas Gerais. However, upon arriving, the teenager soon learned that the work would, in fact, involve drug trafficking and sexual exploitation.
As determined by PCMG, the teenager contacted her mother for the last time at around 5pm on the day she arrived in Nanuque, when she was already staying at the suspect's residence. After that, she was reported missing by the police.
