Three dead from a Russian strike in a city in eastern Ukraine

Three people were killed and at least fourteen were injured in a Russian strike in Konstantinovka, a city in the eastern Ukrainianthe governor of the region announced today.

The Russians fired into a residential area, damaging four-story buildings, a hotel, parking lots and vehicles.” Donetsk region governor Pavlo Kirilenko said on social media.

“Three civilians were killed. At least two were injured,” he added, before later revising the toll upwards to 14.

The governor said rescuers and police on the ground were “carefully documenting another crime by the Russian occupation forces” in Ukraine.

Images posted on Kirilenko’s social media show apartment buildings with broken windows and debris strewn around a burned-out car.

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Russia carried out attacks on Konstantinovka, with multiple missile launchers.

Almost a year after its invasion of Ukraine, as APE-MPE notes, Moscow is trying to take control of the entire Donetsk region, which it has already declared as an integral part of Russia.
