A Turkish unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) launched an attack on a car in Sulaymaniyah province on Friday, killing all three occupants in the vehicle.
The Turkish armed forces frequently launch ground attacks, airstrikes and shelling against PKK targets in northern Iraq, particularly in the Qandil Mountains.
The PKK, which has been waging an armed struggle against the Turkish state for three decades, has been designated a “terrorist organization” by several states and international organizations, such as NATO and the European Union.
