A three -month -old infant, Kaylani Kalani, is allegedly killed by her parents after intense shaking when she was at the center of their toxic relationship, as heard in court. Killani was admitted to Homrton Hospital in Hakney, East London at around 22:30 on July 8, having suffered brain injuries, as well as a leg and side fracture. The infant ended up 15 days later, with her parents, Herbert Kalanzi, 35, and Nazlie Mertoka, 24, and both from Ham, is accused of killing and causing or tolerance of the infant’s death. At yesterday’s hearing in court, the jurors were informed that Killani was known to social services and had been put under a child protection plan due to the alleged hectic relationship of her parents.
