More than 30% of Brazilians have expenses greater than their own income. This is what a survey by the FSB Research Institute, carried out in all Brazilian states, points out.
According to the data, at least 47% of Brazilians point to personal finances as their biggest concern at the moment.
Almost half (49%) say they are tight on their monthly bills, with little money left over, while only 27% say they manage well and still have money left over.
The survey also reveals that more than 60% of Brazilians needed to reduce routine spending in the last year. Among people who have costs greater than income, Brazilians of Generation X (those born between 1965 and 1981) occupy the biggest share, with 26%.
This same generation stands out in relation to participants who resorted to loans in the last 12 months. According to the survey, 39% of respondents admitted to taking out some type of loan in the last year. Generation X also features prominently in this item, raising to 44% the people who needed this type of help.
Regarding the payment of monthly bills, 27% of respondents say they manage well and still have some money left over.
