Three people died during a shooting that occurred last Wednesday (29) in the Cavalo de Aço community, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro. The third death was confirmed this Friday (31).
Among the victims is a criminal police officer, who was rescued but died at Rocha Faria Municipal Hospital.
In total, four people were injured. Among the dead is a minor.
The Military Police clarified that all the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the operation of the body cameras of the officers involved, are being investigated through a Military Police Inquiry.
A suspected police officer is being held at the Romão Gomes military prison. At the same time, the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP), with monitoring from the Public Prosecutor's Office, is conducting a police investigation into the case.
