Three people killed after Ukraine shelling Belgorod region, governor says

Three civilians were killed and several others injured after Ukrainian shells hit a village in Russia’s border region of Belgorod, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Monday (8).

Gladkov said one man died in the village of Nikolskoye and two others in a nearby hospital.

Russia launches major attack on Ukraine

Russia launched a daytime airstrike on targets in cities across Ukraine on Monday (8), killing at least 37 people and wounding 170 others, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Large-scale shelling hit areas in the capital Kiev, as well as Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Slovyansk and Kramatorsk.

At least 27 people, including three children, were killed in the capital, the Kiev city military administration said. Of those, two people were killed and at least 16 were wounded in the attack on Kiev’s Okhmatdyt hospital.
