Three people were killed in Israeli raids near Syria’s border with Lebanon

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced today that three people were killed in Israeli strikes in the Qusair region, near Lebanon, where Hezbollah, which is at war with Israel, has a presence. “The Israeli attack damaged the industrial zone and some residential areas in Qusair, Homs region (central Syria),” the official Syrian news agency SANA said, citing “injuries among civilians.” The Observatory, which is based in the UK but has an extensive network of sources in the war-torn country, said one strike targeted a “Hezbollah weapons depot and fuel storage area in the industrial zone of Qusayr”, killing three people, the nationality of which could not be determined. The MCO also added that “five Syrian civilians were injured” in the raid.
