Three Russian bases hit in 24 hours, Ukrainian officials say

Ukrainian officials gave details of the targets hit in Russian-occupied Kherson, in the south of the country, on Monday (18).

Serhii Khlan, adviser to the head of Kherson’s civil-military administration, said the third target to be hit in the last 24 hours was in the Beryslav district on the north bank of the Dnieper River.

“The invaders’ base was destroyed, where they also placed equipment and ammunition depots,” Khlan said.

Separately, Natalia Humeniuk, spokeswoman for the Southern Operational Command, told CNN that “at 5 o’clock in the morning, our units reached a concentration of enemies, weapons and equipment, as well as an ammunition depot in the district of Raiske [perto de Nova Kakhovka, na margem sul de o rio] and an ammunition warehouse in the Beryslav district.”

THE CNN independently geolocated videos of a large explosion at Raiske in the early hours of Monday.

Ukrainian forces have been attacking Russian ammunition sites and command posts in Kherson almost daily for the past two weeks in an effort to disrupt Russian supply lines.
