Three Russian officers were killed by an explosion in the occupied Melitopolis

Its intelligence services Ukrainian argue that at least three Russians soldiers were killed by an explosion in Russian-held Melitopol, in an attack described as “retaliation” by local resistance groups.

The explosion occurred on Saturday, at a meeting of the Russian officers of the city, the service under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported. “This act of revenge, on the part of the representatives of the local resistance, noted in the offices of the New Post Office occupied by the Russians“, according to the announcement.

From the Russian side no such event has been reported. Reuters was unable to verify the Ukrainian claim.

According to Kiev, officers from the Russian National Guard and the FSB intelligence service took part in Saturday’s meeting. The explosion killed “at least three officers of the National Guard” while there are reports of other casualties, which are being examined.
