The Ministry of Development and Investment announces the 2nd call for NSRF, amounting to 34 million euros, for financing the Working Capital, in the form of a non-repayable grant, for the start-ups of “Elevate Greece”, which were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The companies registered in the National Register of Young Enterprises – Elevate Greece, can receive the non-repayable financing, in order to cover their expenses in Purchases of Consumer Goods, Raw Materials and Consumables, the total Benefits to employees and various Operating Expenses.
The financing covers Working Capital up to 80% of the company’s expenses for the reference year (2020 or 2021) with a minimum grant amount of 5,000 euros and a maximum of 100,000 euros.
The second call gives an extra important “breath” to the start-up companies affected by the pandemic, in order to face the unforeseen difficulties.
Applications for the program will start from Wednesday 22 June 2022 at 13:00 until Monday 31 October 2022 at 15:00.
It should be noted that the registered companies that were financed in the first round can be supported cumulatively by both invitations with a maximum total amount of 100,000 euros.
The Minister of Development & Investment, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis pointed out:
“Greece is becoming a pioneer in the” new knowledge economy “in the wider region of Southeastern Europe. Contributing significantly to this are the start-ups, the dynamically developing ecosystem of research and innovation, which really deserve every support of the State. With the 2nd NSRF call , amounting to 34 million euros, to finance the Working Capital, in the form of a non-repayable grant, so we come to substantially support, once again, the start-ups of “Elevate Greece”, which were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic “.
The responsible Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Mr. Christos Dimas, stated the following:
“With the creation of Elevate Greece we had emphasized that the State has for the first time the opportunity to promote targeted support measures, cut and sewn to the needs of the ecosystem of start-ups. It is a fact that the pandemic also affected start-ups. So responding to the request of the whole ecosystem, we proceed to the 2nd round of financing, amounting to 34 million euros, for the start-ups of Elevate Greece. “.
The Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, responsible for Public Investments and NSRF Mr. Giannis Tsakiris stressed how:
“The NSRF is the main financier of the young and innovative entrepreneurship, the support of which comes to create a continuous production of new ideas, services and products that will feed back the most productive model of the country, in order to remain healthy, competitive and constantly growing. “This is a distinct part of the Greek economy which we expect to give a significant boost to GDP and better jobs.”
