Throughout the week, temperatures will reach 30ºC in the Southeast, says meteorologist

The lowest temperatures recorded last week will not be repeated in the coming days, according to meteorologist Maria Clara Sassaki, in an interview with CNN Radio.

“Overall, throughout the week, temperatures should rise in the Southeast, and reaching 30 degrees, it will be hot again, with cold only at the beginning and end of the day”, he said.

The forecast points out that the week “should be firm weather in most of Brazil”: “We should not have significant rains, only after Wednesday (3) it can rain again in the South.”

The situation is different, however, in the Northeast. “There is an alert for the Northeast this week, the rain is again strong between the south coast of Bahia and the coast of Rio Grande do Norte, where there should be significant rain and possible disturbances in relation to flooding and landslides”, said Maria Clara.

In the interior of the Northeast, on the other hand, “dry air commands the weather”, with below-ideal humidity, and “should continue to do so throughout the month of August.”

In the North region, with the exception of Tocantins, the weather is unstable, with heavy rain in the north of Pará and Amazonas. “Most of the region will experience above-average rainfall.”

In the Midwest, dry weather will persist, with temperatures exceeding 30ºC.
