TikTok Generation: Noémie Rapetti

Noemie Rapetti is a young creator from Valle d’Aosta and that in a short time has conquered a lot of people reaching more than 150k followers. In his bio he is keen to emphasize the fact that no one is ever able to pronounce his name correctly: Noemie, for everyone Noemi.

1- Hello! Introduce yourself for us!

Hello everyone! My name is Noemie Rapetti, I am twenty years old and I come from the smallest region of Italy, the Valle d’Aosta.

2- How do you express your creativity on TikTok?
I have always been a very sunny girl, with a great desire to communicate to the world what she thinks, often and willingly also making use of irony. I think it was the latter that allowed me to become “known” on social media.

3- What video did you most enjoy making?
Surely the videos that I enjoy making the most and are most successful are the videos where I improvise small skits taken from glimpses of everyday life, especially if I speak in French.

4- What are your favorite effects?
Honestly? I hardly ever use them, not because I don’t like them, but for the simple fact that they are not essential for the type of video I deal with. If I had to choose one I think it would be “green screen”, I happened to use it in some videos.

5- Music: Italian or foreign?
Generally I tend to listen to foreign music, but there are some Italian artists, contemporary and otherwise, who arouse a lot of interest in me.

6- What do you watch on TikTok: do you have favorite accounts?
Being a huge fan of everything that is revisited in a comic key I would say that the videos I most like to watch are the comic POV. In my “for you” there are mainly videos related to travel and learning foreign languages.

7- Can you give me tips for making cool videos?
I am of the opinion that in life you never stop learning new things. I’ve been on TikTok for a relatively short time, so I don’t think I have the key to “making cool videos” totally in my hands yet. The thing that the me now hears to say is to be yourself and to respect others.

8- Where do you get inspiration for your videos?
I always try to bring new content to my profile, inspired by experiences in my life, at school, at home, with friends, or in any case saying what I think. The Web is a very wide world, where everyone is free to give vent to their creativity and thoughts and it is always nice to see what goes on in other people’s heads.

9- One thing they don’t know about you?
I am a super insecure and sensitive person. Over the years I have learned to mediate this part of my character and I have to be honest, being on TikTok has given me the opportunity to understand how much I am worth as a person and that, by setting small goals, I can go anywhere. For this I have to thank my followers and all the people who have supported me since the beginning, because it is thanks to them that I found the courage to get involved for the first time in my life.

10- What is your secret dream?
I have never had a real dream in the drawer, it may seem trivial and obvious but what I aspire to now is to be happy, to finally feel at peace with myself and continue to have wonderful people next to who know how to bring out the best in me.

11- What does TikTok represent for you?
TikTok has definitely become a fundamental part of my life, right now I wouldn’t be able to put an end to this chapter. TikTok has given me the opportunity to express who I am, in my irony and my simplicity, allowing me to make the rest of Italy discover my region of origin, which I care so much, in a small part of Italy.
