TikTok is launching a service in the US that is no less bizarre than some video platforms.
The service is called TikTok Kitchen, and it is a food delivery service. The weirdness of TikTok Kitchen lies in the dishes that will be available and on the basis on which the service will be replenished with new items.
TikTok Kitchen’s menu is entirely based on those dishes that appear in very popular videos on the platform itself. For example, baked feta pasta, smash burger (crushed burger), corn ribs and pasta chips will be available at the start. The service will launch in the US in March.
At the same time, TikTok will not have any of its own establishments or cuisine. Instead, the company invites all interested catering establishments to connect to the TikTok Kitchen program and simply fulfill the corresponding orders. At the start of the service, the company expects to attract about 300 establishments throughout the country, and by the end of the year it wants to develop a network of up to 1000 establishments. But at the same time, all this will work exclusively online. That is, if an institution is connected to the TikTok Kitchen service, you cannot come to such a restaurant or cafe and order food there, available in the TikTok Kitchen menu.
