A ByteDance the company responsible for TikTok announced this Thursday (6) the launch of an application dedicated to music: the TikTokMusic .
The music streaming app is integrated with TikTok and is only available in Brazil and Indonesia. For now, it will be paid and ad-free.
For those interested, the prices for the plans start at R$ 16.90 for the individual version, R$ 26.90 for the family plan and students pay half.
The annual package costs R$ 159.90.
TikTok Music is available that will allow you to listen to full songs offline, create playlists, find songs with lyric identifiers, share songs with others and listen to hits that are going viral on TikTok itself.
Streaming is already active and can be downloaded from mobile app stores.
Previously, the Chinese company had announced the end of Resso, an application that also focused on music, but received several criticisms for, in May of this year, only completing access to songs for those with a registered plan.
TikTok in Brazil
At the beginning of the year, according to a ranking based on data from DataReportal, a company recognized as one of the main sources of data to understand human behavior with the internet, it pointed out that Brazil has 82.2 million users aged 18 or over. on TikTok.
The number is second only to the United States, which has 113.3 million, and Indonesia, with 109.9 million.
To use the app, you must be at least 13 years old, or 14 in South Korea and Indonesia. To make videos, send or receive direct messages, and allow others to download and use editing tools, you must be at least 16 years old.
