ByteDance, the company that owns the Tiktok launched this Wednesday (17) the Tiktok Notes sharing application Photos . Interpreted as a competitor to Instagram and even Facebook, the new social network promises to focus only on images, and not on videos like its other app.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, it was announced that the trial version of Notes is only available to users in Australia and Canada. There is still no information about the launch in other countries.
“We hope the TikTok community uses TikTok Notes to continue sharing their moments through photo posts. Whether documenting adventures, expressing creativity or simply sharing everyday snapshots, the TikTok Notes experience is designed for those who want to share and engage through photographic content,” they stated in the X release.
According to the release, the feed will be divided into “For Your” and “Following”, just like the Tiktok app, and the layout is similar to Pinterest. In the image, you can see image carousels and the options to like, save and comment on posts.
ByteDance has not announced when the application will be launched in Brazil.

At the beginning of April, the company had launched Tiktok Lite, a version of the application also being tested that promises to pay users to watch videos. The new feature was only available in Spain and France.
