TikTok confirmed this Monday (19) that it will expand the maximum length of its videos to ten minutes.
It’s not the first time the platform has changed the length of its videos. First it changed from 15 seconds to 60; and then for three minutes.
“We are always thinking of new ways to bring value to our community and improve the TikTok experience,” a company spokesperson said in a statement.
“Last year we introduced larger videos, giving our community more time to create and be entertained on TikTok.”
The new possibility can help consumers who watch videos divided into several parts where one story “continues” after another.
The news brings TikTok closer to competitors like YouTube — which, in turn, also made moves to copy TikTok features when it launched “Shorts,” allowing creators to make short, vertical videos.
