Tim Burton says he gets depressed when accessing the internet: “It’s not good for me”

The film director Tim Burton said that access the internet makes him feel “quite depressed” .

“Anyone who knows me knows I’m a bit of a technophobe [ou seja, alguém com aversão ao uso de novas tecnologias],” the filmmaker told BBC News. “It scared me because I started going into a black hole [ao acessar a internet]. So I try to avoid it, because it doesn’t make me feel good.”

“I get depressed very quickly, maybe faster than other people. But it doesn’t take long for me to start clicking and short-circuiting,” he added.

Advances in artificial intelligence also scare the director, who said he felt “robbed” after a trend went viral using AI to transform Disney characters into “Tim Burton-style” characters.

“It was quite disturbing: intellectually and emotionally disturbing. It felt like my soul had been taken from me,” he said.
