Tim Burton says he will work with Johnny Depp again: “Absolutely”

The North American director Tim Burton 66, stated that he will work with the actor again Johnny Depp 61, his longtime friend and partner. However, it will not be in a sequel to one of the films they have already made together.

“There are certain films that I don’t want to make a sequel to. I didn’t want to do a sequel [‘Edward Mãos de Tesoura’] because it seemed like something unique. I didn’t want a sequel to ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ because it also felt like a one-off. It’s better to leave certain things alone, and this, for me, is one of them,” he said at a press conference at the Marrakech International Film Festival.

When asked, one sees another collaboration with Depp a recurring name in his projects, Burton responded: “Well, I’m sure there will be” .

Burton and Depp have worked together nine times: “Edward Scissorhands” (1990), “Ed Wood” (1994), “The Legend of the Headless Horseman” (1999), “Corpse Bride” (2005), “The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” (2005), “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” (2007), “Alice in Wonderland” (2010), “Shadows of the Night” (2012) and “Alice Through the Looking Glass” (2016).

The American actor has been away from Hollywood in recent years after facing problems in court. He returned to the big screen this year with the French film “The King’s Favorite” and was cast in “Day Drinker” alongside Penélope Cruz.
