The former Prime Minister of Britain Boris Johnson is expected to stand in the Conservative Party leadership contest to replace him Liz Truss, who resigned today, the Times reported.
“He’s sniping but is said to think it’s a matter of national interest,” The Times political editor Stephen Swinford said on Twitter.

The other three candidates
Rishi Sunak was the front-runner in the caucus for the leadership of the party, but it is up to him to stand again.
The second minister in line after the prime minister is the finance minister, Jeremy Hunt. There are scenarios that want him to enter the succession race, despite his statements, as he previously stood as a candidate when Boris Johnson came out.
Finally, there is Penny Mordant who also had a large percentage of preference in the parliamentary group. He didn’t make it all the way to the base of the party, but he is respected.
