Times: Zelensky’s note was given to Putin by Abramovich – “Tell him I will overthrow them” replied the Russian president

The note of Zelensky delivered to the Russian president contained a summary of terms that would accept Kyiv for tarmament of war. Putin’s initial response, according to the report, was angry: “Tell him I’ll crush them”.

That same night, Abramovich returned to Istanbul and met with him Rustem Umerov, Ukrainian politician representing Kyiv in the negotiations. As the Times notes, despite Putin’s angry response, the negotiations through this chat channel they are said to have noted progress “Offering the hope of an unstable peace agreement in Ukraine and a major diplomatic victory for Turkey.”
