Tinkoff Bank has suspended SWIFT transfers in euros

Tinkoff Bank has suspended transfers via the SWIFT system in euros due to an increase in the time for their passage, as the press service of the bank told Interfax.

Due to the increase in the processing time, SWIFT transfers in euros are temporarily not available. We recommend that you make transfers from your account in dollars.

The bank noted that SWIFT transfers in euros were suspended “due to system overload and increased waiting times.” At the moment, the SWIFT system is the main way to transfer funds. There are two ways to transfer money from another country to a Russian bank – via SWIFT and from card to card, but the latter method only works from Belarus from the card of the Belkart payment system and from Armenia from the card of the ArKa payment system.

Transfers to Visa and Mastercard cards of foreign banks are not carried out. You can transfer funds to Mir cards of the National Bank of the Republic of South Ossetia; “Elkart” (Kyrgyzstan); “Belkart” (Belarus); “APRA” (Abkhazia); ArKa (Armenia), Korti Milli and Express Pay (Tajikistan). At the same time, there are now restrictions on transfers of funds to accounts in foreign banks for citizens of the Russian Federation. We are talking about the amount of $ 10 thousand (or equivalent in foreign currency) per month.

Oleg Tinkov recently released a statement in which he said goodbye to Russia and Tinkoff Bank. He also noted that he was taking away the brands Tinkoff and La Datcha, which belong to his family, from the country. After that, Tinkoff commented on Oleg Tinkov’s statement, noting that Tinkoff Bank owns all legal rights to the Tinkoff brand. Then it turned out that the bank is a licensee, that is, it has the right to use trademarks until a certain time.
