Tiny update improves camera and charging Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro

Pixel smartphone users are among the first to receive the April Android update, which promises to fix more than 40 security vulnerabilities. The April security update is rolling out to Pixel 3a, Pixel 4, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 6, and Pixel 6 Pro.

However, if you’re a Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro user, then the update brings some really important changes that are specific to those phones.

This very small 27MB update fixes two camera issues and improves one important feature:

  • Wireless charging performance improvements with some accessories;
  • We fixed an issue that caused the front camera preview to appear enlarged in some apps.
  • Fixed an issue where a green screen would sometimes appear when previewing the camera.

Previously, Samsung, in a long-established tradition, was the first among smartphone manufacturers to begin releasing a monthly Android update for its flagship smartphones.
