Titanic turns 25: where are the actors today (not just Kate and Leo)

Leonardo DiCaprio returns to the cinema on board the Titanic and alongside Kate Winslet for the 25th anniversary of James Cameron’s blockbuster. In fact, from 9 February, the film of records – won 11 Oscar Awards and still among the most viewed stories on the big screen – arrives (it must be said) in Italian cinemas, in remastered version and in 3D to fully relive the tragic and glorious emotions of the maiden voyage of the famous ocean liner of the early twentieth century.

We all know that that choice has had many careers, starting with that of the then very young protagonists, instantly catapulted into the universe of Hollywood stars. And James Cameron continues to grind hits and lead the box office with feats impossible on paper: the latest, Avatar 2 – The way of the waterdefied all logic sailing full sail (he did) on the two billion dollar box office bringing everyone back to Pandora.

But what happened to the other protagonists of the epic film? Gloria Stuart, who plays Rose as an old woman, passed away in 2010 but the others are all in excellent health. Sure, for some, their careers have stalled a bit (but it certainly doesn’t depend on the Titanic iceberg, on the contrary), but it’s always nice to find them again, waiting to make this leap into the past aboard the perhaps more sadly famous ship than the hall has ever hosted.

Leafing through the album of memories, then, here’s where they are and where to see the glorious cast of Titanic, led precisely by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.

Leonardo DiCaprio has many projects in the pipeline, which also see him engaged as a producer. One of the most anticipated is Killers of the flower moondirected by mentor and friend Martin Scorsese, as anticipated at the ANEC Professional Cinema Days in Sorrento.
