To CNN, Bolsonaro says he is doing well and will undergo further tests to define possible surgery

President Jair Bolsonaro told the CNN who will perform new tests to determine whether surgery will be performed to treat their intestinal obstruction.

He has been hospitalized at Hospital Vila Nova Star, in São Paulo, since dawn this Monday (3).

Bolsonaro told the CNN who got sick after Sunday lunch.

He arrived at the hospital in the capital of São Paulo at 03:00 in the morning, and needed to place a nasogastric tube.

In a bulletin, the hospital confirmed a picture of intestinal obstruction and informed that there is no expected discharge.

According to the bulletin signed by Antônio Luiz Macedo’s team, the president will be reassessed this Monday.

The doctor from Bolsonaro was on vacation and arrived in Brazil at 3 pm today.

Since being stabbed in Juiz de Fora (MG) during an election campaign in 2018, Bolsonaro has already had to be hospitalized five times for surgeries related to the incident.

Bolsonaro was last hospitalized on July 14, 2020 to treat a condition of intestinal subocclusion. He was discharged from Hospital Vila Nova Star, in São Paulo (SP), four days later.
