To CNN, Bolsonaro says that by September Brazil will be able to receive diesel from Russia

The president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said this Saturday (27) to CNN after an agenda in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, that there is a possibility that Brazil will begin to receive diesel from Russia until next month.

“Negotiations continue [com a Rússia ]. I believe by next month there is a possibility of starting to get here. This purchase abroad will not directly influence the price of the pump. We are also negotiating with other countries to buy diesel,” said the president.

According to Bolsonaro, “the big problem for us is that back then they started to build refineries in Brazil, they disappeared with 100 billion reais and didn’t build any refineries. We will look for alternatives, buying abroad. And also, see if the private initiative invests in refineries in Brazil. Without corruption, there is money left to help the population”.

Jair Bolsonaro also cited the reduction in the price of kerosene for aviation (QAV), published by Petrobras on Friday (26). On September 1st, the state-owned company will readjust aviation kerosene prices, with a 10.4% reduction in sales prices for distributors.

This is the second consecutive decrease in QAV prices, which had already been adjusted by -2.6% in early August.
