In an interview with CNN delegate José Luiz Nogueira, from the Osasco Section, commented on the murder of the deputy secretary of security, Adilson Moreira, by a Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) last Monday (6).
According to preliminary investigations by the Police, the civil guard rebelled upon learning that he would return to his duties. Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM) which would have sparked a discussion.
The perpetrator of the crime, identified as Henrique Marival de Sousa, was arrested red-handed.
“We are investigating to understand why he did this and what was the motivation for such a serious incident,” said the delegate.
Investigation underway
This Tuesday (7), the police will hear witnesses who were present at Osasco City Hall at the beginning of the meeting where the crime occurred.
The objective is to clarify what triggered the discussion and led to the unexpected outcome.
One of the initial hypotheses is that the discussion was motivated by a change in the work schedule, something considered “banal” by the delegate.
However, Nogueira highlighted that other possibilities are being investigated, including possible previous disagreements between the victim and the perpetrator.
The delegate also mentioned that they are analyzing whether there was any history of violent behavior on the part of the GCM, as suggested by some sources.
“All of this is being investigated and studied, to find out if this was the trigger or if it was an outbreak”, explained Nogueira.
Next steps
After surrendering to the police, the perpetrator of the crime underwent a custody hearing.
The arrest in the act was approved and converted into preventive detention at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The accused was taken to the Osasco Provisional Detention Center, where he will remain at the disposal of justice.
