To CNN, Israel counters Mauro Vieira and says that genocide was committed by Hamas

THE CNN the spokesman for the Israeli Army, Rafael Rozenszajn, refuted the statements made last Monday (2) by the Brazilian chancellor about the situation in the Gaza Strip.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated at a United Nations (UN) conference that “the humanitarian situation in Gaza is the worst calamity, similar to genocide”.

“An example of genocide was Hamas’ attack on Israel. Israel’s war was never against the people of Gaza. Faced with an attack with more than 12,000 rockets, Israel continues to support the civilian population in Gaza,” said the Israeli Army spokesman to CNN .

Rozenszajn stated that Israel continues to send warnings to the population in the Gaza Strip, in addition to humanitarian aid.

“More than 57 thousand trucks carrying over 1 million tons of humanitarian aid have already entered Gaza. We support the establishment of three field hospitals in the region. We maintain three water pipelines from Israel to Gaza. We also reinstalled some pipes that were damaged by Hamas. During this period, we have already supplied more than 27 million liters of fuel for essential services. We help 12 bakeries that produce 13 million loaves of bread daily.”

The spokesperson once again said that Hamas uses civilians as a shield.

“We warned civilians to evacuate dangerous areas before attacks. We made 150,000 calls and released more than 10 million leaflets imploring the evacuation of civilians. In this context of war, terrorists use civilians as human shields and contradict accusations of genocide. If there is genocide, in this conflict, it was committed by Hamas terrorists”, he added.
