Tokina has unveiled the SZX Super Tele 400mm F8 Reflex MF & 2X Extender Kit. Includes Tokina SZX Super Tele 400mm F8 Reflex MF full frame lens and SZ 2X Extender with T-mount (TA-020).
The TA-020 Universal Optical Teleconverter doubles the focal length of the lens. The teleconverter is installed between the lens and a mount adapter that provides compatibility with a specific photo system. There are six adapters available that allow the kit to be used with Canon EF, Sony E, Nikon F, Nikon Z, Micro 4/3 and Fujifilm X systems cameras. The company offers six matching kit options and one without an adapter.
Sales will begin on March 15, 2022. The manufacturer does not give the price, but calls the kit a budget solution for those who need a lightweight and compact lens with a long focal length.
