What would you do if you were in a movie theater waiting for the new movie of your favorite franchise to start, and suddenly the protagonist, a movie star, appears in front of the big screen?
That’s exactly what happened last Tuesday (12), in Washington, in the United States. While waiting for the start of the feature “Mission Impossible – Reckoning Part 1“, fans were surprised by actor Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie. The surprise is part of an action to promote the film in the country and also included movie theaters in Miami and Atlanta.
In an interview with the Washington Post, American Ravi Khanna, 47, said he couldn’t believe it when he saw Tom Cruise entering the room. “My wife was stunned. I was ecstatic,” he said.
“I remember squinting my eyes to make sure it was really him. It’s something I’ll remember for the rest of my life,” added the fan, before finishing:
“I felt like a kid the rest of the day. I didn’t know how I was going to sleep at night.”
Still according to Khanna’s report to the Washington Post, the actor chatted a little with fans, who went crazy when they noticed that it was the star who was standing in front of them.
“It’s great to see you all. Enjoy the movie”, thanked Tom Cruise.
Seventh film in the franchise, “Missão Impossible – Reckoning Part 1” arrives this Thursday (13) in theaters in Brazil. In the plot, agent Ethan Hunt, again played by Tom Cruise, embarks on a new mission: to track down a terrifying weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands.
