After participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony it was announced that the American actor Tom Cruise 62, was the first actor to touch the iconic Hollywood sign.
The revelation was made Jeff Zarrinnam president of Hollywood Sign Trust in an interview with NBC Los Angeles. “Normally when there’s filming here, no one is allowed to touch the Hollywood sign. This was the first time the Hollywood sign was actually touched.”
According to the website, the video was recorded in March. “Even our own cameras, our security cameras, were turned off and were not recording during this stunt,” Zarrinnam added.
Before arriving at the tourist spot, the “Mission: Impossible” actor ziplined down from the top of the Stade de France, where the ceremony took place. Soon after, he greeted athletes, picked up the Olympic flag and carried it on a motorcycle. In a video, he appeared to be strolling through the City of Light, leaving Paris by plane and arriving in Los Angeles to the sound of the song “By The Way” by the band Red Hot Chili Peppers .
