Passed away at the age of 72 the designer partner for 35 years, Tom Ford, Richard Buckley. The fashion editor died of natural causes at the couple’s home in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
“We are deeply saddened by the death of Tom Ford’s beloved husband, Richard Buckley. Richard left their home peacefully with the 60-year-old designer and the couple’s 8-year-old son by his side.
No further details have been released about Buckley’s death.
According to a Daily Mail article, Ford and Buckley met at a fashion show in 1986. They married in 2014, when same-sex marriage became legal in the United States and they had a son, Alexander John “Jack” Buckley Ford.
Ford has said it was “love at first sight. We met and in a month we lived together “he had said in an interview with People in 2016.
