Tom Ford, Haider Ackermann is the new creative director

Haider Ackermann is the new creative director of Tom Ford. Less than two months after the exit of Peter Hawkings, who had taken over Ford’s legacy in 2022, the brand announced the arrival of Ackermann, who will debut during Paris Fashion Week in March 2025 presenting the Fall-Winter collection. In sharing the news, the Colombian-born designer expressed great admiration for the founder of the brand, declaring himself «enormously proud to have the honor of taking up Tom Ford’s legacya man I have long admired and for whom I have the utmost respect.”

Born in Colombia in 1971, naturalized French and raised in Holland, Ackermann trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts from Antwerp, Belgium, and worked briefly with John Galliano before founding his own brand in 2001.

His stylemade of clean and sharp cuts, asymmetries and original material overlappings, has become recognisable and distinctive over the years in the international panorama as well as being much loved by celebrities as Tilda Swinton And Timothee Chalametwho often choose it for the red carpet most important.
