Tom Holland defines conditions for filming “Spider-Man” sequel

Tom Holland established criteria to reprise his role in “Spider-Man”. Although the actor confirmed that he was “actively involved in conversations” about a possible fourth film, the actor explained that he will only accept the role again if the story is up to par.

The 27-year-old actor last brought Peter Parker and his web-slinging alter ego to life in 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”

“All I can say is that we have been actively involved in conversations about what a fourth version of my character could look like. Whether or not we can find a way to do the character justice is another thing. I feel extremely protective of Spider-Man,” Tom confessed during a press conference at Critics Choice Association.

“I feel very, very lucky that we were able to work on a franchise that got better with each film, that achieved more success with each film, which I think is quite rare, so I want to protect its legacy,” he added.

“So, I’m not going to do another one just to do it. It will have to be worth the character’s time,” said the artist. Despite his reservations, Tom admitted that refusing to participate would be foolish.

“I would be a fool not to put on the suit again, because I owe everything to Spider-Man. So, I would love to tell another story, but I will only tell it if we find the right one,” he pointed out.
