Tom Odell sings Another Love for Ukrainian refugees at Bucharest train station

The famous musician Tom Odell became one of the dozens who with their performances express their solidarity with refugees of war in Ukraine. Odell visited Bucharest train station just 24 hours ago to perform one of his best-known songs, the 2013 hit “Another Love” for Ukrainian refugees arriving after the Russian invasion. According to the UN, more than two million civilians have fled Ukraine due to the Russian invasion, with many of them traveling through neighboring Romania.

“Yesterday I had the honor to sing another love song at the Bucharest train station with many Ukrainian refugees. There are thousands of refugees coming to this station every day. “They need food, water, a safe place to sleep and be treated like the beautiful human beings they are,” the musician wrote on TikTok, before encouraging people to donate to the Choose Love campaign.

Odel was in the country to perform at We Are One on Saturday night, alongside Romanian artists DJ Armin van Buuren and Ukrainian singer Jamala, who won the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.

“Another Love” as a symbol of resistance

The song “Another Love” has become the favorite of social media users and is widely used, often for propaganda purposes, as a symbol of “Ukraine’s resilience”.
