Tomorrow in a new meeting of EDEKAP the decisions for the debates in the Movement for Change

It is still open when and how many debates will take place during the pre-election period for the leadership of the Movement for Change. At the meeting of the competent Committee for the electoral process (EDEKAP) which took place for three hours, with the presence of representatives of the candidates and ended a few hours ago, no final decision was made. The meeting is expected to resume tomorrow.

Also present at the meeting were the party secretary, M. Christodoulakis, and M. Othonas, C. Protopapas and the director of the press office, Nikos Vosdoganis, who suggested holding two debates before the first round, one on a nationwide television broadcast. and one with the peripheral channels as well as a debate in the second round between the first two. These are the things that were valid in the 2017 election and were accepted by most of the candidates.

George Papandreou’s side raised objections, proposing, as he had announced earlier, three discussions in three thematic sections.

Final decisions are expected at tomorrow’s meeting of the Commission.
