Tomorrowland will have a mobile police station and bilingual police officers; festival starts today

A special security scheme will be implemented in the Tomorrowland Brazil one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the world. The operation will begin this Thursday (10) and will last until Monday (14). The event takes place in Itu, in the interior of São Paulo, and will be attended by around 160 thousand people. Security will be guaranteed through joint work between the Civil and Military police, with the support of several specialized units.

To guarantee the safety of the thousands of visitors expected at Tomorrowland Brasil, the Civil and Military Police of São Paulo mounted a special operation. The event will have a reinforced workforce, including teams specialized in different areas, such as an Operations Control Center to monitor public movement in real time and coordinate the actions of teams in the field.

“Our main responsibility at the CCO is to coordinate and supervise preventive and reactive actions, such as incident monitoring, rapid response to emergencies and coordination of patrols”, explained Lieutenant Carlos Cezare, head of the Social Communication Section of the 50th BPM/I, responsible for event.

The mobile police station will offer a personalized service for victims of crimes, with the aim of guaranteeing a humanized and efficient reception. The Tourist Assistance Police Station (Deatur) will install a mobile police station at the event to offer a specialized service with bilingual police officers and female police officers to record specific incidents, ensuring the victims are welcomed.

“In the unit, we register police reports and detailed terms, while arrests and arrests are formalized by the region’s Judicial Police Department”, explained Deatur’s divisional delegate, Fernanda Herbella.

With a personalized service for crime victims, security planning aims to guarantee a humanized and efficient reception. The Civil Police will work together with other institutions, such as consulates, to speed up assistance in cases of lost documents.
